galaxynote3nex5100
I have been trying to figure out how to connect my Galaxy Note 3 to the app mode on my Pioneer Avic5100NEX. There is no HDMI slot on this NEX model. Anyone know how to do it?
galaxynote3nex5100
When connecting with the USB it keeps saying incompatible device. Bluetooth works fine, but it doesn't allow you to access the app mode that way
joemamma1954
unfortunately you do not have the app radio mode with Android Device with the 5000/5100 Nex head units. There is an adapter for the iPhone to connect to the RGB port, but not one available for Android.
galaxynote3nex5100
Ok. I that case, how can I get mirror link to work? Or if it wont, is there an alternative way to mirror my phones screen on the dash?
joemamma1954
Only thing I do know about android connection. Make sure you are using usb2, and you may have to change your phone USB setting from charge only to file transfer or something like that. Also make sure your NEX smartphone setting is set to USB, not BT or digital. Not sure about MirrorLink, the app on phone has to support MirrorLink, and from what I am reading, there are not many. Dr. Claw
MirrorLink should possibly work, if there is a compatible app. Not sure if the old DriveLink app works, as it was developed for the Galaxy SIII generation of phones.
