jhren Posted August 25, 2015 Report Share Posted August 25, 2015 AFAIK, all NEX series head units are 2.0 subdivided into front and rear and dual sub outs are derived via electronic filtering... i.e. only 2 distinct channels are decoded from all digital media sources before running through Pioneer's digital audio processor, which has no virtual surround sound effect AFAICT.
