MikeMike
Hello All, First time posting here. : ) It seems I'm having some trouble or better yet a hurdle. Every time I take my jeep to the dealership, they disconnect power to work on it. When I get it back and log in, my CarPlay does not come up anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions to some how backup or lock in these settings. Right now, I have not been able to use my CarPlay for the last few weeks. With that being said, is there a way to reactivate it? Thanks for helping.
rockthebeef
It looks like disconnecting the battery puts the head unit back to its default settings. Do you lose radio presets too? I don't know because I haven't disconnected my battery in a long time. No need to go weeks without CarPlay as this can be fixed in a couple of seconds. You probably need to re-do the phone settings in order to re-enable CarPlay. It's in the head unit's settings menu. Further details are in the owner's manual.
huddy
Yes, disconnecting the battery resets the radio presets. I haven't seen it effect the CarPlay. It also turns off the backup camera. The Nav setting seem to stay. I've had my car worked on a couple of times at the dealership, so experienced this a few times with my 6000.
