tjcalbany Posted October 7, 2015 Report Share Posted October 7, 2015 Hello all, I have a new NEX8100 running 1.03. I installed AppRadio on my Samsung S5, and got the cable to support MHL. AppRadio is working, and I can get various apps to run through it, including google maps. But when I use google navigation, the Google Maps via AppRadio is just a generic map. It's not the navigation. For example if I use voice to say "Navigate to Starbucks", the phone will display the driving directions. But the Google app via AppRadio is just a generic map of the area. Am I missing something? Thanks! No, that's how AppRadio works. Turn-by-turn Google Maps was never AppRadio compatible as far as I know (I stopped using AppRadio in faovr of CarPlay). What you do get is some stripped down version of Google Maps, as you have experienced. If you want NAV, I'd suggest Waze. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
