PeterHoueS
Done. Still fully works with firmware 1.11 on my European unit. Just the bluetooth firmware is 3.21.3 like before. Do the US units have a newer one? A manual update didn't changed this. I have the da120 with firmware 1.08. Would there be any benefit from updating to 1.11?
KimRos
Updating from 1.08 to 1.11 on my European unit worked like a charm using a 4 GB memorystick! Bluetooth version is still 3.21.30 - also tried a manual update of BT firmware but still same version. I now experience a slightly faster dashboard when changing menus. I don't see any new features so I guess it's all about bug fixes. The upcoming iOS 9.3 for iPhone promises better CarPlay functionality also so maybe it's not such a bad idea to update the firmware in the radio unit.
liamstears
Anyone that's done this and upgraded to the US 1.11, is it possible to downgrade back to UK firmware? Although I only see a download link for 1.07 UK firmware? Also has anyone tried to use android phone with this new update? any better?
vanhelsing
Did someone tried to do the opposite? I live in Europe and i bought a US hardware. The FM radio bands are different (US: 99.1/99.3/99.5 vs EU: 99.0/99.2/99.4). So I wanna try fixing it by installing EU firmware on the US hardware but I'm too afraid it will brick my machine. I've tried searching online and only found this thread. Someone have experience/insights/information about this?
