BigCiX
Avicsync is finally here in the U.S. Got the email from Pioneer about the update. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Downloads
BigCiX
Question for people who have updated their devices. Can I use a USB stick to udate versus a card? Also can I go from firmware 1.08 straight to 1.11?
jhren
If you read the instructions, which I highly recommend, you must use a USB stick. You should be able to update directly to 1.11. Instructions only have you verify current version is not 1.11. [insert my disclaimer here ]
BigCiX
Yeah....kinda iffy from the last update. I bricked my unit and had to send it in. I'll pay much attention to detail this time. It states parking brake must be on and plugged into USB port one. I didn't even check with port and didn't apply the parking brake last time. HeavyDuty
<< Is very cautiously optimistic...oh to hell with it...make that dubious.
goke
I'll wait or pass on it. All I Want ================= 1-Get rid of the image resolution limit for album art. Album art from iTunes are well over 1400x 2-Get rid file/folder limitation....I have more than a TB of music...limits SUCK
jbadallas
I've tried downloading the firmware update but it's taking forever. Has anyone else had the same problem? It's a 307MB file which should only take a minute or so on my connection. Plus the AVICSYNC app won't go beyond the screen that asks to share data. Should the phone be connected to the car before opening the app. Waited forever for this and can't believe everything is such a hassle. Pioneer is a big letdown. randommentalfloss
I am downloading the 8100 series FW @ 320MB and it is taking over an hour on a gigabit fiber Internet connection! The Pioneer servers are slooooooow!
hayes40oz
Noticed any visual changes with the new firmware? I have a 4000NEX so just bug fixes and bluetooth stability.... glad they are supporting it still but would like to see new features since AVICSYNC isn't available on this or the 4100NEX
Della
1.11?? All I see is 1.05, which I installed yesterday, did I miss something?
Della
Ah, never mind, 8000 vs 8100
BigCiX
It took me well over an hour to download it. I just put it on an USB stick but yet to install.
mdpauley
Is there a mirror for downloads yet? Downloading from pioneer is taking way too long.
mdtoney
I installed it yesterday on my 7000 with no problems so far. After the install I only had a minute or 2 to connect to the AVICSYNC app and play with it, so I don't have enough info to leave a useful comment yet. Looking forward to trying it out tonight.
