salmanilla
I just did a software upgrade to my AVIC-X930BT.... Now my Bluetooth tries to connect and after about 5 seconds disconnects. I have re-set to factory and still does the same thing. I paired a different iPhone 6 and still does the same this. When I look at the Bluetooth Firmware, it is 3.22. Pioneer support says that either my Bluetooth Chip in unit is defective or I need to upgrade maps - $120. I can send unit to them for service for $250. Pioneer technician says that the only way to upgrade BT Firmware is to do a map upgrade. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is it possible to downgrade back to previous version of software? No. I did not back-up system. Assistance , please. Sal

The latest BT is 3.32, not 3.22. BTW, the BT firmware didn't change with the 2015 upgrade. If you are already on 3.32, makes no sense to buy it again. Yes you can easily downgrade to the older BT Firmware - you just need to get an older map release and install the FIRMWARE files. If you are running the correct BT firmware (v3.32) - before doing anything else. try disconnecting your battery for a few minutes. If that didn't help, delete the HU pairing on your iPhone and re-pair.

AFA upgrades, look in both/either the X series or Z series Hacks subforums for 2015 upgrade/maps. They both use the same software.
salmanilla
Alrighty.... Apparently I did the Map upgrade, but neglected to do the BT Upgrade. Now I have bluetooth connectivity again! But no Music (Pandora, itunes, etc.). ...baby steps... Any suggestions?
Alexei Navalny
Make sure "App Connection" is set to Bluetooth. If still no good - try the battery trick. Also, try a cold reboot of your iPhone.
