redrockray
Recently installed a 4100 NEX in my 2007 Wrangler and I am unable to eject the LCD. I am trying to determine if I have a defective unit or if I bungled the install somehow. Everything else works like a charm. After I hit the eject button I get the screen in the pic attached, but hitting any of the left three buttons does nothing. Also, should the LCD angle buttons be grayed out? Hoping someone with more experience than me has run into this issue before.
kotarou
When you are using the radio on other functions, did you find any problems to use this area on the screen?
Alexei Navalny
Was the parking brake set?
redrockray
No issues with that portion of the screen. The buttons seem to register my touch, just nothing. RonS, my line of thinking was maybe I didn't wire something correctly. Parking brake was set, my vehicle has a manual transmission. I should add, I also installed a MicroBypass as well. If someone who has a 4100 w/o a bypass can chime in, can you not do anything with the LCD while the vehicle is in motion?
kotarou
I have a 4000NEX with a bypass too. I'll check this behaviour for you with or without the bypass.
kotarou
I Just checked and there is no influence of the parking brake or bypass to remove the screen.

alex9025
It should come out once you press the button, make sure nothing is blocking its movement.
ben805
installed my new 4100NEX and it failed to eject due to the dash kit, replaced it with new Metra kit and it ejected fine now. Remove the head unit out of the bracket and try it.
