organica1
I cant get my 8200 to update, the software is not compatible with OSX. Would someone be willing to put it on an SD card and mail it to me? Thank you.
Multitask
I updated my 8100 with my Mac , should be able to with the 8200 Is there even an update available for it, didn't it JUST come out?
Multitask
I just looked, there is no update for it
organica1
There is a 3GB map update and 3D bundle avaliable. The files downloaded to my avicsync on my phone but the head unit is estimating it will take 23 hours to transfer from the phone. I was downloading the files from the toolbox and it keeps crashing at 68% when the California file is 30% downloaded. Thanks.
Multitask
Ahh, your updating the Maps, I was thinking the HU OS.. I was trying to update from their site the other day, and it stopped and then kicked off the USB drive... I emailed them, still no response... I"m on Q2, so not a huge deal to get to Q3 just yet... organica1
I more or less want all the 3D building additions with the update.
Multitask
They are already there... not all areas have them, in my area there is hollywood, and downtown LA , not to many other places, you might see some building images, but it's rare
organica1
Im in Pittsburgh, on the screen it pretty much is entirely 3D, similar to google maps, its impressive
Multitask
I'm not sure about iGO/HERE maps, but most maps for cars are about 1-2 years behind Google big etc... but I know that even Google is not 100% up to date with Sat stuff, as where I work just had a major update to what it looks like, and google maps doesn't show the new stuff yet. avic-scott
This is the one thing that makes me despise Pioneer. In spite of the 8200NEX being a great HU, the navi website/tools blow. No support - emailed and will hear nothing as I have in the past with other Pioneer AVIC's. I tried a VMWare VM, Crossover, and all fail to recognize any USB device. Just a bloody mess. Also using a Mac, but at this point, I want to rip out the 8200 and throw it. Sorry for venting. I've been lurking for years, but had to finally register so I could gripe
9tr3g
I did mine using vm ware on a Mac Pro with no issues. Downloaded a cracked version on windows 8 or 10 to use in the vm and it worked great
avic-scott
I did mine using vm ware on a Mac Pro with no issues. Downloaded a cracked version on windows 8 or 10 to use in the vm and it worked great I tried everything using VMWare Fusion and then Crossover. Neither one would (Win 10) recognize the USB Flash drive or SD cards. Properly formatted and all. I'm going to ask my son to do it on his PC. BTW, is the process using a flash/SD the same results as using AVICSYNC? I'm fairly confused on this whole process. I wish they'd just sell an SD card or flash on the website. Their process/software is a joke. Thanks
9tr3g
I never got avicsync to work. I used the sd card only. I've only done it the one time so I don't know much about it. I'm not much help. Now I need to download the vm again and do the 1.14 I guess
avic-scott
So I have a question. Once I supposedly download the maps updates using Avicsync, and xfer to the 8200, do I need to keep them on the iPhone as well? Is the HU actually updated now, or is it using the iPhone's content?Seems odd...
