Zheyk
Hello Guys I have a 4100nex on my Ford Escape 2012. It was working as a charm (Galaxy s7 edge), but on friday my cable (Plugged in the back, no extension) broke and started to quit on android auto, it went on and off android auto some times until it no longer launched AA, just charging. As soon as I got home I changed the cable but had the same results, just charging. I've tried several cables (original Samsung cables) and no luck. Even used the same cables on port 1 just to see if on my phone screen the "USB mode" came up and it did. Seems like the USB port 2, no lorger works as DATA Transfer. Do you have any ideas on what can i do??? I really wouldn't like to think that somehow the port broke definitely due to a short or something... *sighs*
jhren
Plug a known-to-be-working USB drive (with say music files on it) directly into the port to check data transfer.
Zheyk
I will later today... So I assume if the flashdrive is not recognized i'm screwed right???
Zheyk
I did... And it didn't, plugged the usb flash drive on port 1 and it was recognized immediately but no answer or anything on port 2. I only get power out of USB port
jhren
Appears your unit is in need of repair.
Zheyk
So... They changed my "motherboard" or some type of board in my unit. Now I can actually play files withina usb flashdrive, however I still can not launch android auto yet. My phone goes to a black screen for a second and then back again to the last screen, it does open android auto app as I see it in notification bar, but no luck seeing it in my HU. HU says "Incompatible usb device". Any thoughts??? I feel scammed...
iframes
Check to make sure your smartphone settings are on USB2, it might have defaulted to USB1 after they repaired your unit.
