Tombovette Posted May 28, 2016 Report Share Posted May 28, 2016 Hi All, Do I need to hook up the parking break wire in order to do the latest firmware upgrade on my NEX 7000. I'm reading some people are bricking their HUs. I have the wire grounded at the harness and deactivated the parking break ( lower left touch on). I updated mine and I DO NOT have the wire grounded nor hooked up. It is just rolled up with a cable tie. It works fine and no occasional nag screen with a DVD in it either.
