navigating with maps

Recommended Posts

not AA but  just the maps app , is there a quick simple way to mute voice navigation directions , like you can in android auto  by  hitting a mute button ?

so far in maps only way i can find out hopw is to painfully go through the settings within maps and turn it off, at times i like it on  but like a fast way to enable and disable it.

Run script

attachicon.gifscript_BMute_x100_1.05.rar

pass: 4pda

  • Unpack downloaded file into FAT32-formatted USB stick, insert stick into USB1 (USB2 isn't working).
  • Your device will reboot into testmode.
  • Select 2. Write program forcedly => 8.Copy Script, script will patch your system and reboot.
  • Remove USB stick after script finishes.

thank you ., but passworded rar

Take a deeper look at the posting of asd255

I missed her too

this can be done on the platform x100 firmware 1.05

may make to x000 platform firmware 1.11 but I have not tested

I added the

[interface]
show_mute=1

part to the sys.txt of my F60DAB (=NEX8000) with FW 1.11.

The button appears (and shows a dialog for Volume) but I didn't tested yet if it really changes the volume (have to look at the menu first to reactivate the voices)

  • 4 weeks later...

Just drove from Atlanta to Albany, NY using the navi connected with AVICSYNC.  Did a great job navigating around traffic issues and rerouting us.  Even double checked the logic using Waze on my phone, and the directions were spot on.  Nice to have the unit do the navigating and completely freeing my phone.  Also was able to switch quickly to Carplay to do some local routing using Apple Maps.  Overall my 6000 has continued to perform and impress.
