2016 Maps are out for AVIC-Z150BH, AVIC-X950BH, AVIC-X850BT, and AVIC-X8510BT units.

The process is three steps 1) it starts with updating the firmware (1.07) -- this has 76 parts and takes ~2 minutes -- and reboots, then 2) the maps are updated (~45 minutes) and reboots, and 3) the final installation has 2 parts and takes little time and finally reboots to Platform Version 3.00, Application Version 3.00, Map Data 3.000000, Search Data 3.000000, Mecha Version 01.01.03.00.

The attachment has the manual (T1000-24302):

I bought these. Someone reach out/pm me if it's possible to copy/share or if they needed to be cracked/etc.

I do not believe these need to be "cracked" because no password was required to install.  The micro SD (or SD card via adapter) card's file system is secured and cannot be accessed by a standard PC/Mac/...  However, it can be accessed via Service Mode (a.k.a test mode).  Let me know if you need more information.

I would love to get a copy of this is possible.

We have everything needed to prove this.  I supplied some knowledge, nezfotnemom has the files, and proved it works.  Interesting to see where this goes.  All issues have been taken care of -- the project is complete.

wondering if I can copy these files before installing on my unit.. that way I can test it if worked

You can definitely copy the files before installing on the unit but as far as testing I have not done this yet, but I think it should work fine.  It is a bit of a process to copy the files (~45 minutes).

Would this work with Z140-bh? lol I thought I'd ask.

Possibly, but more, maybe much more, work would need to be done. Start a new posting if you think you're interested in trying to learn how to do this. And, being that this has not been done here -- http://http://avic411.com/ -- publicly that I'm aware of yet, it should be started in the Hacks/Mods area:

Please keep this thread on topic. Thanks.

Can you post the process to copy this?

The process for installing the update is different from the process of retrieving the files.  Retrieving* the files is more likely more technical and irrelevant to installing them. The following link is the installation process information:

http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/82414-2016-maps-are-out-for-avic-z150bh-avic-x950bh-avic-x850bt-avic-x8510bt/?p=340669

* I think nezfotnemom plans to do both the retrieving the files and installing them thus proving the installation of the non-standardized process works.  And, after that (s?)he plans to post a new thread in the Hacks/Mods Subforum of both the X Series and Z110BT/Z120BT/Z130BT/Z140BH/Z150BH forums.  It's complete.
