Parrothead1809
Should I expect to see album artwork if I play a CD in the AVIC 8200NEX ? I don't see artwork, and have tried it with my iPhone/Apple Car Play connected as well. I would have figured it would be smart enough to pull the artwork from the iTunes Store. Guess Not. Any suggestions? Tips? Tricks? Thanks, -PH
onebyside
if you have the cover pic file in the album folder it works on my 8000
Parrothead1809
if you have the cover pic file in the album folder it works on my 8000 I'm playing the actual CD, so I don't believe the art is on the CD. It can't look it up? -PH
BigCiX
All my album art appears on my 7000. I just went online and downloaded a tagging application.

onebyside
While the base operating system is the same as a so-called smart phone, it isn't that smart. Im thinking with some the advances the avic team is making....we might be able to smarten it up.

Any suggestions? Tips? Tricks? Thanks, -PH Either I don't understand the question, or I'm misinformed as to how the "system" functions. If you insert a CD, where is it you'd expect the artwork to come from? The "system" is not connected to the internet nor the iTunes store, only your phone might be connected, and it certainly isn't required to be connected to play a CD. Or am I misinformed about how this system functions?

Parrothead1809
I was thinking that IF a phone was connected, then the radio could potentially have the smarts to run to the web and download the art. I guess not. Thanks for the confirmation, -PH
Don M
Seems to me that you have an accurate understanding. I agree. I don't have any artwork from the CD's themselves on my 6100, but if I buy tunes from Amazon and put them on a USB stick, the artwork does show on the screen Don
