leejunc
Just attached the new ipod classic to my new N4 and it wont play music, video or anything. It seems to recognize that the ipod is attached, but nothing will work. I tired it with an older ipod, and everything, including video, worked fine. Does anyone have any info on why it wouldn't be working? Thanks
whtcrxghst
The new ipods will not output video unless you use an Apple accessory. There are extensive threads on Apple screwing us like this in the AVIC-D* forums. For music, try updating the firmware on your ipod and it should work properly
stphilli
I am having the same problem. Did you ever get this working?
whtcrxghst
No, its an Apple thing. Not something Pioneer can fix until the next gen ipod cable comes out I am having the same problem. Did you ever get this working?
02AVMan
I have the new N4 and am having problems with my iPod (160Gig Classic) also. It shows up as being available in the AV menu and when selected the iPod display appears saying the iPod is ready. But the word Menu on the left is grayed out. I can't select anything. I only have music (MP3s) on the iPod for now. I have tried updating the iPod firmware and have reset the N4 but to no avail. Eventually I get an "Error AO". Any ideas. BoogieKnight
Did you guys get it working? Cause I have the same issue.
dradler
Has anybody gotten this to work? Playing my ipod is very important to me - I just bought a new ipod so I could listen with the new interface in the Avic N4 - and it won't work! I get the same ERROR A0 with the new ipods. My old 3G ipod works fine but not the new 80 Gig black that I bought on Friday.
VBLUE42
Guys your best bet is to return the new ipod and try and source out one of the previous gen ipods (5.5 gen) I got my 80GIG 5.5 for 229.99. You can still find plenty of them on ebay. Apple may also still be selling refurbished ones as well.
agovindji
Hello everyone....new here.... just purchased a 160gb ipod classic yesterday and after loading a vast amount of music.....I have the same issues. I get the error a0 after a few minutes. This blows. Anyone have a fix yet? Thanks.
whtcrxghst
Doesn't work with the N4. The latest firmware Apple released made it work for the D3, but nothing has worked for the N4. 5.5 gen is still your best bet
agovindji
Thanks whtcrxghst. I am debating to just wait it out. I just bought the ipod yesterday, had the freaking cable installed and...it doesnt work. Oh well...I figure it at least gives me time to start the lengthy and often confusing task of ripping over 500 cds and dvds....onto a hardrive and then to the ipod. This has been my plan. I get tired of dragging a huge cd/dvd pack with me everywhere (even if it sits in my car most of the time) plus it just makes sense to back it all up. If you guys have any other ideas (or tips and tricks) on the best way to take full advantage of the N4......please pass them along. Thanks.
Aggie Pilot
Has anyone had experience with with the N4 and an iPhone? I'm running a jailbroken 1.1.2 phone. I'll post back when I get everything set up if no one knows anything yet.

03Lightningrocks
Just purchased the IPOD classic 80 gig. Just found out the POS doesn't work properly with my AVIC-N4. I would also love to find out if anyone has info on a fix. I may take the IPOD back tommorrow and put a little note in the box telling Apple to stick this thing where the sun don't shine.
