Hello Guys,

I got an F970BT that came with a Fiat Stilo I got recently.

Unfortunely, unplugging the car battery asked me for password, no one knows it.

So I have past 2 hours and finally got the testmode for Android AVICs.

testmode_a.rar

Extract Testmode_a.key to an empty, formatted usb (fat32).

While the unit is ON, pop in the stick in USB1.

The unit will auto reboot, into test mode.

Perform Initialize To Factory Defaults.

The screen will go blue, then reboot.

No more Password.

Tested OK on F970BT.

Hi.. everyone.. i Also have a  F960BT .. swapped it out of my old car and just installed into my new one.. now its asking for a password. i dont even remember setting one up, let alone what it would be. i have been reading virtually eveything, and tried everything. i have testmode, testmode 2.3, have installed them to microsd card, and usb and it still boots to password. please please help... i know that sounds desperate. but getting the wired tucked into the smallest space ever, and losing lots of skin doing it... well.. i am lol..

I wouldn't usually make an account just to thank someone this much but this works an absolute treat on my AVIC-F960DAB. Tested 01/07/18 and it still works! Saved me tons of time and money trying to get the previous owners details to ask them or pay Pioneer to come out and use a back door program themselves. Just make sure you're not a complete melon like me and remember to EXTRACT the files from the original zip file  (even though it was made clear above). Thank you so much! Not all heroes wear capes...

I bought a used F960DAB today from a garage, was a real steal, but the guy selling it told me the password was lost. I took the gamble and bought it anyway (only 40 euro's including the cable for the power). This afternoon I already downloaded the code and put in on a usb-disk, powered the unit on while I had it on my bench, there was the password request, put the USB drive in, HEY PRESTO! The thing went into test mode after a couple of seconds, factory reset, DONE!

Luckily I've currently got a F900BT installed and I can re-use the GPS antenna so that is a big plus for me, also looking forward to streaming bluetooth music again, god I missed that a lot. Does anyone know if I can just plug in my stock (electrical) antenna? I drive a '99 Volvo C70 so FM was kinda the thing back then haha. I've never owned a DAB radio before and read some some conflicting info about the DAB antenna's so I wondered if my old antenna is just plug and play.

Many thanks for the upload you're a big help much appreciated!!

Awesome - thank you for this, my dad came up for Christmas, had a flat battery on the way, which was changed by roadside recovery, then his Pioneer kept asking for a password which had been set by the previous owner.  With this file I was able to get his Satnav accessible again - thank you @ServXtrem
