F40BT sliding mechanism jams and gives error

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

I have a problem with my Pioneer Avic F40BT.

After I have checked my cables a few weeks ago in the back side of my device I probably was not careful enough with the sliding mechanics by removing the device from the dashboard.

After I have put the device back in position the screen is not properly closing and opening anymore.

The screen stops closing just before 100% closed and gives the following error:

Press this hardware button to close screen (showing the eject button, normally used to open the screen).

When I press the button the screen closes properly and opens directly after moving it to the pre last position (almost closed).

Removing the battery, performing a factory reset in the settings all didn't work.

It looks like the sliding mechanism is not properly calibrated anymore (as the sliding engine works).

Is there anybody that had this problem, or might have an idea how to solve it?

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

Yoeri
