Playback point on 4200

I cant fir the life of me find my instructions nor can I figure this out correctly. When Im listening to USB (MP3's) when I shut the truck off and start back up it starts at the beginning of the song instead of where it left off. I tried the repeat button but nothing seems to work right. Please steer me in the right direction. Thanks!

dude, I feel your pain. here is my story. I have 2 vehicles..... Cadillac CTS, z140BT, 30 gig ipod video and with this setup....the ipod will restart where I left off. my 2nd vehicle is a mazda B3000, NEX-4200, 30 gb ipod video and no matter what combination of cables, it will not restart where I left off. Very frustrating. I am not a country fan, but I like Aaron Lewis. I am so sick of the first song on his new CD........Sinner. I am about to remove that CD from my ipod.

I know if you press what I think is the random button on the unit screen, it goes into ,of course, random mood and at least it doesn't start from the very first song on the ipod, which is better for me. But I would like to figure out how to make it pick up from where I left off when starting the car again. but with random, life is some what better

Have you tried switching  the ipods between vehicles to see if the issue followed the ipod?
