Nap Posted December 3, 2017 Report Share Posted December 3, 2017 Installed the unit successfully into my 04 Expedition yesterday. Everything worked fine. Started working on the backup camera today. It wouldn't display anything. I made some menu changes trying to see if I had something wrong and now it will only display the parking grid lines. I think the setting I changed was from "battery" to "ground." Looking for a way to reset everything to factory defaults or some way to get into the menu system. Thank you! gggplaya Posted December 11, 2017 Report Share Posted December 11, 2017 You head unit currently thinks it's in reverse, because you selected to have the camera activate on either an active high or active low signal. The camera being installed doesn't matter. Take the reverse signal wire on the back of the head unit, and wire it to either ground or 12v until it parking lines are gone and the normal display appears.
