Avic-w8400nex touch panel calibration?

Hi, I've recently had to replace the touch panel on my avic-w8400nex and now the touches are off. I found a "touch panel calibration" section of the instructions but w6400 is highlighted in black above it so I am assuming it might not apply for the 8400 even though the instructions seem to be for both. I don't see anywhere on this HU an option for touch panel calibration. I've called Pioneer but they seem to just reiterate everything that I already tried in the instructions manual. I've tried unplugging the unit for a while, resetting it. Pioneer kept telling me the option is there and seemed like he didn't believe that it's not. Does anyone else have this head unit that could verify if there is a "touch panel calibration" and I'm just blind? Or am I just SOL? It seemed like the guy on the other end of the line was just as perplexed as I was which wasn't reassuring.
