2005 & up Frontier reverse wire

Recommended Posts

I just spent all day probing my trucks wiring and searching this and other forums for the reverse wire on my Nissan Frontier.

... and glad to report success!

I was confused by others having this difficulty and dismayed when I couldn't find it either. I found lots of posts that talked about the LT BLU wire behind the passenger side kick panel, well mine was dead. After looking over the wiring diags I realized no one was reporting what transmission they have.

So, if you have a manual transmission it should be as above - LT BLU wire behind the passenger side kick panel

If you have an Automatic, you need to go under the hood to the smaller relay center. The Back-up relay location is marked on the lid. Attach to either the LT BLU or YEL. (LT BLU goes to the lights, YEL goes to the trailer harness).

Hope this helps!

And thanks to all who have posted you made my install relatively painless!

AVIC-D3, BTB200, iPod adapter and a Boyo VTL-400 - SWEET! :D

almost forgot, bypass was a piece of cake
