Back-up Camera Connection

Recommended Posts

I'm getting ready to tackle the install of the back-up camera I got on eBay, and the first issue I need to resolve is getting power to the camera. I've never seen the connector that used on the end of the wiring, and rather than just cut it off (which I'm about to do), I'd like to find a solution for it.

Any body know what this red connector is?

Well, in case anyone else stumbles along this thread and has the same question, the unknown connector above is a standard "M" sides coaxial DC power connector. You can get a solder on plug for it at Radio Shack that will allow you to connect power and ground.

well, my cam came with another wire that connect to that red plug.

look in the pic, the bottom right black wire connect to the red plug, so i just need to tap the black one to a power source
