tastewar Posted June 24, 2022 Report Share Posted June 24, 2022 When I go to Pioneer's web site, I can find support info for the 5201 but not the 5200. It does seem that these are different, yes? I would just like to be sure I have the latest, but can't even find that out. I have 2 of these units, and CarPlay has never been super stable. Sometimes replacing the cable helps, sometimes not. Ironically, it feels like it's been *less* stable with my newer phone. Anyone have any pointers? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

tastewar Posted June 25, 2022 Author Report Share Posted June 25, 2022 1.08 release notes do claim "Stabilizes Apple CarPlay connectivity" so I am hopeful. On my first unit, the update went through the first phase, but after rebooting just hung for a long time before claiming failure. Tried the auto recovery a bunch of times, but no dice. Copied the software to another USB stick, and then it worked. Phew! That was a bit nerve wracking. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
