2008 Ford F-Series Factory Nav

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to disable the motion sensor on a new 2008 Ford F-Series. Most of the features shut off when the truck is in motion and I'd like to enable all of them. It is the factory unit.

NAV-TV makes a conversion but its not cheap.

I looked at their web site. They offer a bunch of stuff to add on and modify, but all I want to do is enable all the functions while moving. For example, type in an address or look for POI's. You can;t even get to all the SIRIUS buttons while moving.

 

Any thoughts?

Yeah, look on a Ford forum, not an Avic forum. Duh.

 

It can likely be done by grounding out the motion sensors. Its like that on Toyota/Lexus navis, tho I have no experience with ford ones so can't say for sure. This is the wrong place to be asking tho.

It is an AVIC unit (AVIC-xd), factory OEM from Pioneer on all Ford, Lincoln, ect..... That's why I'm here. This way I can go back to the ford forum and them what I found.

 

So if anyone can show me how to accomplish my task. I'd appreciate it. I'd even be willing to pay.

Remove the HU, take pics of the connectors on the back, post them here, and we can see what we can do. Without actually seeing one, I have no idea.
