  1. A little late but I would thing you would just need this: Maestro RR and Maestro F01 (the Maestro RR2 just adds Bluetooth setup capability). https://maestro.idatalink.com/accessories/category/product_id/109 The Maestro F01 has a plug in to the OBDI on your car, shows more than MPH. It does not use the VSS wire. I usually use Crutchfield to find out what's needed for my vehicle then buy of amazon or somewhere cheaper.
  2. Apple is so so about that, no Siri with the 4 and lower, no zoom or taking pics while recording 4s and lower, just to name a few. VBlue is right, you have to understand and accept that technology moves forward-----> no rearview.
  3. hitman the requirements are not the same, you do not need to do all the silly conversions you had to do with the 110 - 150 series, this is simply download, copy, paste, enjoy. This is the only reason I've been holding out on this unit I wanted to be sure this worked. Thanks drenyce311, you are doing just what I have been trying to do for years, I play mostly music videos in the car (downloaded from Vevo, excellent quality) but it's been a pain since Apple removed the ability to play videos in a random order on an iPhone\iPod. Drenyce311 are you able to randomize play on the SD card?
  4. Well from what I've seen from various pics around the internet this blows the 150 out of the water, the comparison chart does not do it justice, READ THE DESCRIPTION. The bigest improvements are in functionality and the UI, the UI looks like 2014 and not 2004. Another big WOW is the receiver can pull traffic, weather, and gas prices from your phone and overlay that info on the map screen. It has Siri but I'm an Android guy so it would be nice if it had the "ok google" feature. I've had the Z110, Z130, and the BT140. I refused to get the 150 because I was like this is BS Pioneer time to upg
  5. LOL, devil's advocate, me too. But your phone cannot play DVD's.... And XM over a data connection is not free, also with XM I have always wondered how in this day of iTunes, MP3 players, USB drives, and burned CD's do they stay in business? But they have shows and some programming that people actually like, so I guess.
  6. They may actually need to buy a Z110 or Z120 as the Z130 handles RDS, etc the same as the Z140. There was no hardware change between the 2 only a software update. In my car the Z110 upgraded to the Z130 software shows way more radio info than the Z130 or Z140 does in my truck. The Z110 upgraded to Z130 will actually show the song currently playing on the preset button. By this I mean that when I am listening to the radio my preset stations on the right side actually show what song is playing on each of the presets. I can't remember if the car has the HD Tuner or not as my Z110 and addi
  7. Better GUI....I guess No RCA pre outputs No car speaker intergration Smaller Screen Low Quality Sound Output Battery Life Concerns Incoming Calls interrupt ALL playback No presets No RDS Cannot Play DVD's You pay for XM AND a higher data plan There may be a way to add some of these features to a cell phone but by the time you do the extra equipment cost is close to or more than the radio, plus too many wires. Different products receive different attention depending on their markets. There are greater changes made to TV's year by year than to the Blu-Ray players, so you canno
  8. It is necessary because you are switiching to functions that take your eyes off the road for a longer period of time than Skip\Play\Pause. The HOME SCREEN options you are trying to get to are Navigation, Cell Phone, AV Source, and Settings. It is not a before you see the map Warning, it is a you are about to take your eyes off the road to setup something on the radio screen, this is stated in the second and third sentences ("Navi is not a substitute for your attentiveness, judgement, and care while driving or moving your vehicle. Always observe safe driving rules and driving laws, and f
  9. Yes Bluetooth app mode is "only for android" as the manual states (Page 133, left hand side, step 3). The Bluetooth profiles required are A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile), and SPP (serial Port Profile). The iPhone is missing the SPP Bluetooth profile that allows it to transfer album art, song title, etc. over Bluetooth. (which is why I laugh when people call it advanced or innovative).
  10. Thanks for the post VBLUE, although I'm more than a year late responding I have been wondering the same thing but I always thought it did not work. I have a Lincoln Navigator and it comes with a THX 5.1 system. Removing the factory amp going aftermarket will make my center channel obsolete or the aftermarket amp will blow it. Now I just have to find the DEQ-P8000 and the AXMP-8000 (I know eBay\Amazon). But what you said is true, there is a GREAT difference in sound that I miss, I came from a DEX-P1R (yeah took it back to 1998, I think today’s equivalent is the DEX-P99RS) which had all
  11. Is there a way to change the navigation voice on the Z130? I remember there was for the Z110.
  12. LOL it makes a folder named AVICZ110.
  13. I know I have the same problem, but worse cause I try to cancel and it will not cancel, trying to see if this is the press OK before the bluetooth connects glitch or something similar or did I just get a bad HeadUnit. I will do a hard reset before I give up on it though. Chris
  14. Gary - Thanks for all the help I am surprised you say the amp has only 2 channels because of the 14 speakers. From what I have been reading it has 2 amps, 1 for the sub which is built into the sub and one under the radio. But considering the system has 14 speakers something has to power them. I have been searching for photos of the OEM amps trying to find a pic of one so I could possibly look at the connections to figure this out. I may just goto the dealer and see if they'll let me look at one. For question 2, what is the PAC AOEM-FRD24 for? Chris
