the above worked perfected for me as well. Now I'm tring to figure out how to listen to satellite radio or music while in appradio mode to mirror or using one of the compapitble nav apps. If I just mirror i can use my ipod function in the iphone 5 and google maps, but I still can't figure out how to listen to siriusXM while mirroring,etc. Maybe it's not possible.....

I have the same issue and from what i've found, once you set the unit to "digital av" mode to use appradio and/or mirror the iPhone 5, it turns off the ability to use the 2nd USB port for iPod playback. The only thing it can do it charge. If you want to use it for iPod use you have to change the settings back to "other" from "digital av". It's a pain in the ass but it is what it is. If I want to use my iPhone as an iPod or using itunes radio i just use bluetooth alone or mirror it using the appradio mode. For nav i mirror it and us my phone's ipod or itunes radio for music in the backgrou

Pardon my newbie status here but I have searched and searched to find the answer and I can't seem to figure it out 100%. My questions regards using SiriusXM while in AppRadio mode. Is this possible? I'm coming to the conclusion it is not since AppRadio mode seems to be a dedicated mode all in itself. I have figured out how to use AppRadio mode and mirror my phone and am able to use iTunes Radio or iPod to play music while using google maps or apple maps for navigation. But if I was do use a built in navigation app with AppRadio it seems I can't listen to SiriusXM at the same time. --
