  1. Be in slightly less of a hurry let your car warm up for a sec before hitting the road and press the OK button before you put the car in reverse to get out of your driveway.
  2. I peeped it I like the music integration a bit more but I am not truly impressed with it. I could not seem to find navigation other then to get home when I tried to get directions it opened Waze. If it launched the app on its own it would be a step in the right direction but it seems like it still wants to open the appraido app and then the "live app".
  3. make sure you do not have the private option unchecked on the stereo. I do not have a HTC but sometimes the stereo stays in private mode and I have to press the button to get the sound to go thru the stereo. This button exists on the call menu screen on the Appradio. Other then that I have no idea if music plays your phone should work.
  4. If you use an I phone I would suggest one of NEX HU as they will support car play in a few months provided they release during the summer like their web site states. The app radio is cool if you are an android user and you root your phone and use one of the hacked AR apps, Or if you run an old jail broke IOS with appex. For me I would rather not F with all that stuff and get a NEX and have car play.
  5. it was only the HDMI cable shitty HDMI cables will give you sparkles no matter the device. The lighting cable only supply's power to the digital AV adapter to your phone.
  6. At this point there is no reason to assume that pioneer will create an upgrade for Appradio 2 or 3 for car play. This could be because of many reasons but here are a few: The interface port on the back of the HU may not support the information transfer that is needed for car play. Pioneer does not want to write an additional firmware update for Appradio to make car play work. Apple said the hardware in the app radio was not on par with their requirements and would not licenses Car play to work on the Appradio. Pioneer may want to phase out the app radio line and by providing an update t
  7. I know this topic has been covered before on this very forum you did not search around enough here or in your stereos settings.
  8. The parking break is a extra wire with a tag on it that says parking break likely a blueish color I think the camera wire is purple it also has a tag on it. P.S. The internet is a huge place the answers are out there.
  9. yea pair your phone with the device if its not it will give that message.
  10. The answer and hang up buttons work at least for me and the voice activation button opens my phone book I was not able to get it to activate siri. Also the mode button works to change between all the modes the stereo offers. From what I was told when they helped me program mine I can make the buttons do what ever I wanted provided the stereo supported what I wanted the button to do so if the stereo does not support your button make it do something else. I have a 2013 Subaru XV with a Pac module and AR3, there is a list in the pac manual somewhere that says what is supported by each aftermark

    INSTALLED!

I do not think that this is possible, at least it is not with the Appraido, This part of the stereo is if you have I phone 4 with the other connection. The Ipod button does not work if you are using digital AV you will more then likely need to get an app to play your music.
  12. I do not use that part very often I do not remember if it auto played the radio when I turned the car on or if I had to press the button it does stay on the same station. I would check but my car is currently being repaired after someone smashed into it while it was parked.
  13. I use an I phone but as long as the phone is in the car and plugged in before i start the car it will play what ever music I was playing when I shut it off. Apps do not automatically load though so you will still need to load the music player or Pandora. Waze will lower the music but can use the speaker on my phone also, I have the audio turned off for it as I do not care for the voice the screen is big enough for me to read just fine. I use it with an Iphone so I do not know if the same is true with a S3 but I would guess it functions the same.
  14. You know this for a fact? It could very-well be the same setup using HDMI with a Digital adapter that they hide in the dash and only show you the lighting plug much like I have myself.
