  1. If you are handy with tiny electronic parts then open it up and clean the laser lense with a Q-tip and lense cleaner solution. But first I would have the disc re-surfaced, because with a new lense some light scratches at the right place on the disc would bring the same message. Good luck.
  2. It is the far side of the power wire(not the middle one). Good luck.
  3. You can get a wire harness adapter from Wal-mart or any local shop. It'll save tons of times and troubles. Good luck.
  4. The dual layers copied nav discs are fragile. Finger's prints or fine scratches can make them useless. I went through so many of them(I service and sell these units for a living). Go back to the oem disc and downgrade it if you want to avoid headaches. You can almost run over an oem disc with a tank and it would still work. Good luck.
  5. The front input is not aux input. It's actually VIDEO2 input, so select that and you should get audio signal from the source that plugged in to the front. If you are using iphone or ipod, it's much more convennience if you buy a ipod adapter cable. You can control everything on the touchscreen and even get video from your ipod. Good luck.
  6. Please try this: bring your disc to a GameCrazy or any used games dealer and have it re-surfaced(cost $1.00 to $3.00), then try those above step. Let me know how it work out for you. I can fix it if that wouldn't worked. Good luck.
