Mine takes a second or 2 when the radio is first booting up, but instant every other time.

Well on my car(pontiac g8), the interior lights dim with a switch (-)(+). When the headlights engage at sunset or when ever they do, the screen darkens. When the headlights turn off, the screen goes back to full brightness. The AUTO feature will be labeled on your headlight switch.

Your PAC module is probably bad is my guess.

The unit will dim as long as you have your lights on auto. Once you turn your parking lights on manually it will dim the display and keep it dimmed.

Yes double check your wires. I just installed this unit in a buddys 2008 Ram and I mixed up the wires. Check your wiring and I bet that iwll be the problem

On GPS, on the bottom right there are 3 lines, click that to bring up the naviagation menu, click over to the right, click settings, then speed warnings, and there you go

Make sure the connection where you grounded your parking break is solid. Where did you ground it?

There really is no difference between the cables just pioneer charge. Only difference is Apple sells it for $21 and pioneer sells it for $35

Are you guys using USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?

Worked on my 8000 as well! I also have my parking brake wire permanently grounded.
