Pioneer Germany said AvicSync is delayed due to Carplay development. Expected release end of 2014. IMHO if Carplay is futher delayed so will AvicSync. And if so we all can just hope the AvicSync app is planned to be used for future models too, otherwise it could well happen - due to development cycles - we will never see it on our phones and NEXs...

Pioneer Germany wrote on facebook today the avic sync app is delayed. Due to high demand for CarPlay this feature will be developed first. AvicSync App is on lower priority.

I think we will soon be able to obtain certain map related upgrades / updates at pioneer.naviextras.com BTW: Does anybody now about the status of the AvicSync App?
