  1. Finally got around to doing this on my 8000. Couldn't be easier, thanks so much!

    7000 NEX

I have an 8000, and while it can be done, you'll lose all BT functions, so it's not worth it/working. Presumably you'd run into the same problem on a 7000.
  3. Thanks for uploading the .zip file! It seems to be password protected though?
  4. I'm having trouble unpacking this on OS X 10.9.5. Any advice?
  5. Yes, it can be done, but like the linked listing says at the bottom, Bluetooth doesn't work, which also makes Android Auto unusable. So the whole upgrade is a non-starter for now unfortunately.
  6. Sadly no, it won't work. You'll lose all Bluetooth audio, for both streaming music and making calls. And since Android Auto works via BT, the whole upgrade is pretty much a no-go. A lot of us are hoping and waiting for this, welcome to the club
  7. Add my to the list of people where the Auto EQ made a big difference in the overall sound. I'd definitely say go for it, it doesn't cost much compared to what you already spent.
  8. Thanks... that saves me an hour this weekend Too bad though!
  9. Has anyone put the new 8100 1.05 firmware onto an 8000 using the previously described method, to see if this update might give us Android Auto capabilities without breaking bluetooth this time?
  10. As far as I remember, all BT functions, voice and streaming
  11. He's just selling what was developed here months ago, a working upgrade/flashing of the x000 units to the x100's firmware without Bluetooth working.
  12. I hope people can still find this now that it's pinned... it seems to have gotten quiet. Thank you all again for the hard work, I'm excited to see what's coming!
