  1. Well, too bad. I had the same response from Pioneer. I did the complete reset of the 8000NEX and also a factory reset on the Navi app part. Of course that cleared all my previous settings, sound measurements, 3D Calibration et. al. After a while, the 3D calibration/initialization completed again, but all of it DID NOT FIX the problem. Randomly, there is simply no response or a very delayed response to keyboard or button touches. But worse, now I have a new problem relating to the speedometer indication on the Navi screen. It lost its accuracy - remains stuck on the same value for several secon
  2. Dito - same problem on my AVIC-8000NEX. It started with the recent update 1.08. With the prior version, I did not have that behavior. I also noticed that while it seems the keyboard touch did not register, if you simply wait for a second, two or three, the response will (may) show. It appears as that starting with version 1.08, the NAV software initiates a search for incremental character matches. While this is a great feature - the search process is WAY TOO SLOW! So, I suggest to Pioneer (or NNG which owns/developped the navigation software) to either remove that incremental search featur
  3. Well, even if it does not add much at this point in time, I think it is still better to go through and rewire/update the Maestro to digital. Who knows - maybe Christmas comes early and there will be another update with added Maestro features. I'll be ready for it!
  4. The Maestro information relating to Pioneer and recent Ford vehicles is a bit confusing to me. I got an 8000NEX with a Maestro RR with the F01 harness installed in my 2011 Ford Super Duty as of August this year. That combination works great but completely eliminates Ford Sync. Just upgraded the Pioneer to 1.08 - works great! Checked with iDataLink to see if there is an upgrade for the Maestro. There is as of October 1,\2014 just before Pioneer released their 1.08 update. Apparently there is support for Ford Sync now (there was none back in August). Of course, I don't think that Ford Sync adds
  5. The noise is broad - truly "white" and the db level does not change with volume or mute. It is not really a problem while listening to actual audio, but when muted it may be quite annoying.
  6. Not sure if it is all Pioneer's fault. I guess Apple did not let them release their upgrade until Apple went through their 100% focus on iPhone 6 and ios 8 releases.
  7. I noticed that after upgrading to V1.06 even without CarPlay active (no phone connected and no active input selected) there appears to be an increased, quite audible level of white noise which I don't remember noticing with the original version of the software (V1.03) I had prior to the upgrade. Worse, when connecting the phone (iPhone 5 with ios8.02 in CarPlay mode), the white noise level is even stronger. Has anyone else noticed this?
  8. I liked the ability to set "auto-answer" allowing the phone to accept and answer a call without physical input from me. Unless I am missing something, under CarPlay there are no such options?
