I have the exact problem. I have no sound from any music sources. I can hear the tones when selecting things and the voice guidance still works but no music!! arggghh! Please help! it sucks to drive with no tunes!

I have an n1 head n3 hideaway unit with 60 series disc set. Will the n4 disc set work? And what does it offer over the 60 series discs.

Sounds like the flex cable. I just had mine replaced about 1 month ago. Had the same problem. Also the buttons on the front panel were acting goofy. Doing weird shit.

yes the green wire is grounded it has been. the setup worked fine with the 40 series discs. i sent the unit in for the free flex cable repair to pioneer. got the unit back and did an upgrade to the 60 series discs. I know why it stopped working. but I followed the instructions here and no change.

I have an N1 with the 60 series disc set and did the solder method. I have now gone into the radio twice and rechecked the solder points and that in fact they are still in tact. Yet the nav still removes some choices when I go over 5mph. Any ideas?
