Hem, Android 5.0 "Lollipop", an outdated Android version? It's the latest release… I'd be more concerned about sound quality. As Annie from CarStereoChick wrote a few days ago about Parrot RNB 6:

Parrot clearly showed the European model. For example Pioneer offers satellite radio in the US, but DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) in Europe and Australia, hence the different naming (AVIC-8000NEX in the US becomes AVIC-F60DAB in EU and Australia for example). So Parrot could eventually offer a dedicated model for the USA with Sirius XM support.

Yes 720p! And the interface seems very smooth.

Just restart your iPhone. If the problem persists, restore it in iTunes. -

Have a look at the new PAC SWI-CP5: http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=1200 PAC demonstrates it on YouTube: http://youtu.be/yMR1NKKqZGA It is updatable through USB and easily programmable with a PC or a smartphone (iOS & Android), like the Maestro and Axxess SWC interfaces. -

Almost nobody seems to have hands on this unit yet. As of Early November I found only those two short videos: - Unboxing where John Haynes from Al & Ed's Autosound talks of an MSRP of $599 (instead of $800) - from Inphase Car Audio.

According to Pioneer directly on their web site: ericvic and KarNPlay are right: sometimes the GPS reception of an iPhone can be poor in certain circumstances and when this is the case the dedicated GPS antenna is there to provide a good reception.
-
WHAT? Does the Alpine really lack any dedicated GPS antenna? What a shame if this is actually the case. Can you please give a link supporting that statement? Nowhere in Pioneer owner's manual I see a ref to Parrot nor any noise cancellation technology.

The web page on Alpine web site: http://alpine-usa.com/product/view/carplay-ilx-007 I also found the ILX-007 owner's manual: http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/500/500ILX007.PDF The faceplate is indeed removable (see p. 27) Some advantages over AppRadio 4: - bigger screen (identical 7" capacitive multitouch screen as in the much more expensive -although more complete- 8000NEX) - shorter (cooler?) 3.3" chassis - dedicated physical Siri button (useful to activate Siri without having to actually WATCH the HU nor press and hold the nonphysical Home button) Another th

Hi, Pioneer is currently demoing their new Carplay-compatible AppRadio 4 (SPH-DA120 in Europe) with a capacitive 6.2" touchscreen at Paris Motor Show. There IS pinch-to-zoom in Apple Maps, see at 0:40 in this video: So it's weird that the AVIC-8000NEX, which also has a capacitive screen, does not allow pinch-to-zoom in Apple Maps after the Carplay FW update.
