I never had the older discs...i bought the unit used and it didnt come with disc's so i sent it off to get soldered and bought the upgraded discs...but i have never been able to get it working..do i need the older ones for some reason?

yea im using the new discs...why does it make a difference? Can anyone help me with this im tired of not having gps

ok well if thats all you do my unit must be broken...my gps screen always says insert correct disc...the background did change but i thought i had to go into some menu screen and update like i read in another forum but that doesn't work...anyone got any ideas?

I have the bypass soldered i just need help on the actual software installation. any help? Thanks

ok I have 2 problems, 1st being my avic n1 keeps muting itself for no apparent reason and I dont know how to unmute it. what could be the cause of this? only thing i can think of is its overheating because there isnt alot of room behind the deck with all the wires and such. 2nd being that it doesnt seem to read my nav discs, reads cds and other dvds but not the nav discs? Any help would be much appriciated thanks Chris
