  1. I reached out to Pioneer support and apparently I need to perform a full factory reset in order to re-run the setup.
  2. I have a 400NEX and I finally figured out how to get AppRadio working via BT and an MHL cable. However, when I went through the initial setup I didn't understand the interface and didn't adjust the screen borders correctly, and now have major overscan on my screen. How can re-run the setup wizard to calibrate the screen correctly? I tried clearing the NEX's Bluetooth memory and re-pairing to see if that would set it up as a new device but that didn't help. Thanks in advance.
  3. Correct. PhilFromPA outlined what I would like in a perfect world... Go to NEX by default with an AirPlay button (Like the APPS button when I use my Android phone and AppRadio) in the Pioneer interface. Under smartphone setup I can add the iPhone with CarPlay set to no, and I'll have access to some of the phone features as well as my music. But I would like to use CarPlay for podcasts and Spotify playback.
  4. I've opened a ticket with Pioneer but haven't heard back in almost a week. It looks like CarPlay auto-launches when plugging the iPhone's USB cable in. Also annoying.
  5. I'm still trying to get everything to play nicely so I don't have it working yet, but have you looked into using your smartphone, Applink and Waze? I rely very heavily on Waze for my commute and it looks like you can get its features and on-screen controls via AppLink on both Android and iOS. Alternatively, the new CarPlay support does include Apple Maps, though I'm not sure how good the app actually is.
  6. But I like CarPlay. I still want to use it, I just don't want it to auto-launch whenever I start the car.
  7. I picked up a used iPhone 5 over the weekend to use for CarPlay in my AVH-4000NEX stereo. I leave it connected via USB cable to port 1 in the radio. Every time I start my car, The Pioneer start screen launches, then CarPlay takes over - I have to hit the ok button on the disclaimer, then NEX, then whatever is currently running on the right, in order to get to the NEX interface. This is pretty annoying... Is there a way to set the radio to NOT launch CarPlay every time I start my car?
