  1. got it (the passport) to work onmy N5 with my Ipod nano 16g At first it did not work... I had to power down the N5 and power back up. Works flawless now... Much better to be able to charge my Ipod from the headunit. I also verified that it works on my sons Kenwood in his car.
  2. I just ordered one... I will let you know if it works for my 4th gen Nano. It pisses me off that it wont charge... So $30 is a small price to pay!!!
  3. The link you gave goes right back to this thread.... I would like to know where to get this cable as well.
  4. My N5 with the CDI200 cable will not charge my Nano... Not sure what Gen the Nano is but i bought it last week. Anyone know if a new cable will come out or do I have to buy an older Ipod?
  5. I have the N5... Nice unit! same as the n4 just updated map Disks.
  6. I would fix it... I just got the N5 and I am not that impressed with it. I upgraded from the N2 and yes it does have some cool new things... But one thing that it does not have is the active dimmer. My N2 would auto adjust from a light sensor on the screen.... Dont have that on the N5 Another thing is that there is not as many buttons on the N5 that control funtions... most of the stuff is touch screen... I like the buttons on the front

you have to find the VSS wire on your cars ECU You can find out that info at the12volt.com I used the guide wire as well... as the pins are differant from the blue harness to the white harness.
  8. I had the same problem and I changed the antenna and it has been working good for about 6 months now.

I put it in the First one. I just re-pined it with the yellow and black Mute wire that I wasnt going to use. This is step by step what I did: 1.Take out pin with yellow and Black wire on the white harness 2.Insert Pin in the first open hole to the left of the white harness 3.Ground the light Green wire from the Blue harness and the Wire you just installed to the Black wire of the blue harness. That should be it!!! Drove around a bit this morning and all seemed fine... I will report back after a few more days of driving just to make sure it works.

I installed the Unit using the N4 type bypass and it works so far... I then disconected the wire that I put in the harness location Just to see if there was a change, and It quit working... hooked it back up and all is well! I will try it for a few days and let you know if it keeps working!

I am getting my N5 in a day or 2... I will try the N4 bypass first and let you all know if it works after a few days. Tim
  12. if you dont get ANY channels then something is wrong... you should get at least 5 or 6 channels. like XM preview ECT The box might be activated.... but you have to get service put on it in your name.

  14. IIRC there should be a "rear" button on the front panel... At least there is on my N2. that should get your audio working in the rear.
  15. I have the N2 and with the p10 xm/Nav traffic box... I hate the one line Xm Radio display. Can I add the p920 to get a better display of the Xm Channel, Artist ECT? Thanks guys!!! Tim
