  1. Since the last update, periodically my deck flips to just shy of full 90 deg tilt with a CD insertion icon on the screen. Whenever it happens, restarting my cars does nothing. It closes all the way then goes right back to that position. The only way to get it out of that is to manually push it to closed. It then knows that it was closed and allows you to bring the display tilt back to my desired tilt. Anyone else see this?

  3. Ok, so it doesn't work for a Galaxy S3 by the sounds of it. Who would spend $30 on an app and process that has no guarantee that it will work?. My S3 is my companies, Root it? What does that do? Why not just make it so that you plug the phone into existing cabling and it just works? Why do we as the customer need to pay $1K then do all this d**king around just to make the functions work that are advertised to sel it? Who else sees a problem with this?
  4. I have an 8000 trying to get an S3 to work with it. I have USB1/Aux at a plug I installed in the lower dash and the HDMI cable coming out of the dash for access. Ive played with all sorts of combinations connecting my phone but I don't get AppRadio, HDMI, or anything to work in any fashion. I can get BT to work all day long all up and down the block but nothing that I want to work. I just keep getting told that the fix for Android AppRadio will be here sometime before the end of the year.
  5. Ive been trying to get my cam to work as well. Ive read the manual and have everything hooked up as I believe I should and I get the same thing you were getting, except once I figured the part out about turning the camera on function off so the black screen went away, in my case, I get no camera in reverse. I bought a camera and tapped the + and gnd into the backup lights + and gnd. I then ran the video cable up to the h/u and plugged it into the brown connector. Whether I connect the reverse wire to a gnd and set the h/u for Ground, or if I attach it to a 12V wire and set it to Battery +, I g
  6. Well, there must be some kind of answer because on my 8000, I didnt have that as the crow flies line until I just did the 1.08 update. In 1.01, it actually highlighted the streets showing your route, not this stupid thing. How do you turn it off and go back to normal highlighted streets?
  7. Therein lies your problem, your using an Apple product
  8. I just did 1.06 then 1.08 on my 8000 using an SD card and it worked just fine.
  9. Is this just to be able to play video, or does this take care of the message talking about the parking brake when you use the Nav function?
  10. Ive had mine a few months now and I get popping often when the GPS voice comes on. Once it was so loud it actually scared the hell out of me.
  11. I have a Pontiac G5 that I installed an AVIC 8000 NEX deck in. I set up the parking brake gnd using a relay so that's all good. I hooked up my cam to the back up light wiring and ran the video wire up and plugged into the brown connector. It works using the Camera On function when I put the car in reverse. But, when I put the car in reverse with the Camera On turned off and of course the first thing I did after installation was switch Backup Camera to On, in reverse I get no change. The reverse wire, based on being hooked to the back up light, shouldn't I be able to just hook that into any con
  12. I have a Pontiac G5 base model and have spread this question across Google and Bing and have not come up with anything definitive. The OEM did have a speed setting for the volume as I saw someone mention in an earlier response if that has any effect on the outcome.
  13. Im having basically the same issue. I have a Pontiac G5 with an AVIC 8000 NEX installed. I bought a rear mount cam and installed it a couple nights ago. I wired the red and black wires of the cam into the back up light wiring. I ran the yellow video cable up and plugged it into the cam connector in the 4 connector batch. I don't know if it was brown or not but I know the yellow pigtail cam connector a couple of you spoke of and its not that one. I get the same thing 99formulam6 got. When I select camera on, and pull it into reverse I get the cam view. When I take it out of reverse, I get the b
