  1. I have a Pioneer Avic 8000nex that I installed in 2014. No problems ever...until now. Sound cuts out for radio, satellite, iPod, etc. BUT not when I receive a phone call. Sound works fine then. Things I've done: Pulled the deck, no wiring issues. Checked the Alpine amps and no issues. Checked each speaker in the 4 doors and no issues. NO it isn't a loose wire and you hit a bump and it cuts out. Here is what it has done: Drive the truck, no sound. Stop and park, turn truck off and come back 3-4 hours later for Lunch. It works! No movement of truck or anyt
  2. I just finished updating my Pioneeer Nex-8000 maps. I bought them off a Dealer on eBay. I've used this dealer in the past for 2 other updates on older AVIC (Z1,Z2,Z3) units and he is top notch. Everything he sells works.... After following his multi-page instructions complete with screen shots, I arrived at the end and the head unit said I was 100% complete. My question to all of the AVIC experts is: do you think that Pioneer will 'correct this' in the future? Will the correction be in the manner of a Software/Firmware (not sure of the correct term) update? This iDataLink 'feature' is available with Kenwood and Alpine head units. It is basically reading th
  4. Thanks everyone, I will check as soon as the New Avic-8000NEX comes in.....
  5. I installed an Avic Z2 in my 2002 Excursion 6 years ago. Just traded in in for a 2008 F350 King Ranch. I spent a TON of time on the Avic-Z2 wiring harness (both of them). Can I use the (metra harness) that has the plug that connected the old Avic-Z2 to the Ford Factory wiring and simply plug it into the F350 and the back of the New Avic-8000NEX? Thanks in advance
