  1. I see this thread has been updated to indicate that the crack works with the latest firmware for the AVIC-NEX8000 (1.14). Can anyone confirm whether this crack is working with the latest firmware for the AVIC-NEX7100/AVIC-NEX8100 (1.09) as well?
  2. You guys are seeding an improper copy of the map discs. If this copy doesn't brick your navigation system altogether, your device will no longer load the map data or search the POI database correctly. I would highly recommend waiting until a real ISO image appears... using the files contained in this torrent will cause problems. Using PowerISO to create an ISO from this torrent is NOT the correct way to create a working map disc. Of all the people who have downloaded this torrent so far, nobody has reported 100% success when using the new discs.
  3. Just downloaded the West disc torrent, and was disappointed after 28 hours to learn that it does not contain an ISO file. You cannot just copy all of the files from the map disc and re-burn them onto another disc. You must perform a perfect bit-by-bit copy of the original disc and save it as an ISO image file. The Pioneer navigation units will not operate with discs that are not 1:1 copies of the original. I would recommend pulling down that torrent before it becomes too widespread and begins bricking navigation units. Does anybody have an ISO IMAGE of the original disc available
  4. The VSS wire will be different in every car. In my Subaru is was a green striped wire located on the ABS controller. The easiest way to determine your VSS wire is to locate a manufacturer's service manual for your car and look at the wiring diagrams. If you have a common vehicle, you might be able to find this information on a car forum.
  5. you got them to replace the cooling fan? Is the replacement fan by chance any quieter than the original? My AVIC-N2 failed today, and I'm going to have to send it in for the flex cable replacement. I would love to have them replace my cooling fan too... since day 1 it has sounded like a hairdryer running in my dashboard. Pioneer claimed this was normal.
  6. If anybody here using the CD-UB100 USB adapter with the AVIC-N2? Based on the manuals available through Pioneer's website, this device is treated as an "external device". I'm just wondering if anybody is actually using it with the AVIC-N2, and how the graphical interface on the touchscreen looks. I have a feeling that the graphical interface will be clumsy and difficult to use (like the Sirius and IPod controls). Can anyone comment on this? I currently have XM, but I'm getting ready to dump the service due to the sudden decline in programming quality and consistently poor sound q
