does anyone have any suggestions on how to bypass the avh-p4000. we have a customer that obiously wants to watch video and we tryed to just ground the parking break wire. apparently the unit is almost as smart as a d3. can you give me a hand. thanx Dan

place the antenna as far up the dash as you can and tuck the wire in between the dash and the window

i do have to say that i will, yes, help everything out but if the vss wire is not in direct presents then i dont bother hooking it up. that is just me but i had to throw that out there. thanks for your replys

I know for people that live out in the woods and don't always have total sat coverage for the nav portion of their units it makes it alittle easier to stay on track on the screen. but why is it that everyone really needs to hook up the vss wire when really there is no need for it. all these tom toms and megellions ect. don't need a vss wire, why should a d n or z really have it hooked up. Not looking for any rude comments but everyone that i have talked to has asked about hooking up the vss wire and can i get the wire color for them. i don't care that they've asked or anyone else. i don't

vss wire is not always needed to show speed. sat can pick it up and show on screen how fast you are going. clip the vss wire and it will show it.

At your advice, I hooked it up to the purple/white parking lights wire in the driver's kick. are you hooking the purple/white from the d3 to the parking lights? only reason i ask is that is the reverse wire, not parking lites. pl wire is orange/white.

just to let you know, they are all swix moduals, they just call the one for pioneer and sony the swi-ps.

do you know what your swix modual is hooked to for power or ground

yeah that is what i followed to do it. but it is not a z1 it is a z2

i tryed to do the bypass my bosses z2 in his 08 f250, worked for about a day. we of course can watch tv on the factory screen in the back and recieve from the rear screen but now when you hit over 15 or 25 the screen goes out. what else can i do to bypass this thing to make him happy.

look at circute city, best buy, or best thing a local shop stereo shop

your best bet is to go and get a list of things 95-3302 double din dash kit gmos-lan-04 wiring harness swi-ps for the steering wheel controls take and move your mute wire(yellow and black) to the pin right above it, ground that, and the ebrake wire and you are bypassed. if you didn't already do it.

if i am correct in saying, there is a factory amp in the vehicle, if so you are better of doing a rewire of the car and totally bypassing the amp. go to the output of the amp, find each speaker and run new wires to they're respective speaker. the factory amp is making that noise.
