  1. The screens had to change to allow multiple touch points so pinch to zoom and similar features would work like your phone. It's not a capacitive vs resistive or screen resolution change, it is merely for better touch control. And all of these units are 800×400 resolution so no, they will never look as good as most high end hd phones do now. Unless you are sold on android auto, or pioneer decides to update features before releasing the new units, there is nothing better about the 2015 units. The avh units got more and better updates than the nex units. The 1700-5700 now have nex gui, 3 wa
  2. Wow that's the most I've ever seen a note 4 do on mirrorlink. I have a s5 on lollipop, and it just shows a blank screen.
  3. Just to let everyone know, I'm an authorized pioneer dealer, and have spoken at length to tech support about these new units. There are most definitely hardware changes in the units for android auto. Google made them change screens to meet specs for touch control. They wanted all the android auto units to have the 8000 screens and pioneer got them to compromise. Anyway, as of now they have no plans to update the 2014 models. Sucks cause I have a 4000nex in my dash and I'm getting sick of switching radios. Oh and only difference between sxv200 and sxv300 is some kind of mixtrack type featur
  4. I've searched all over the internet, and have not found anyone who has gotten a note 4 to work with mirrorlink. I have a galaxy s5 on lollipop and 4000nex,and i can't get it to work either. As far as I can tell the two manufacturers kinda blame each other, but nobody will say what the real problem is. I'm leaning toward samsung since htc and sony phones both work.
  5. Got lollipop update today. Fixed my problem. Now I've got to figure out mirrorlink function.
  6. FINALLY! Thank you RRSpikes. I have an S5, so what am I doing wrong? Is there an app you are using? What format are your files in. Is the music on your phone or SD card? I can't figure out why this isn't working for me.
  7. Avrcp 1.4 allows file browsing, but hours of google searches haven't given me a definitive answer on what phones have 1.4 other than the iPhone.
  8. On pioneers website they state "When streaming music, NEX even let’s you browse and select the media stored on your smartphone using the AVRCP 1.4 profile, a first for a Pioneer in-dash receiver." Has anyone been able to browse music on the phone over bluetooth with an android phone? I can control the phone and see text and album art, but I cannot browse through my music. If you have gotten this to work, what phone and app are you using?
