  1. The firmware update directions say that the car must be stopped and the parking brake engaged. I have a by-pass installed. Does the updater look for the ground from the p-brake wire and if so will the by-pass work? I know it does the pulse thing. I just thought it was strange that this was in the directions but didn't see anyone on the forum talking about it.
  2. I am having this issue as well on my 4100. Only on bluetooth. And sounds like a very high pitched electronics hum. Does not change with engine rev. I listen to a lot of podcasts and at first thought it was a recording issue on their end but then found out I hear the noise on whatever I listen to. I can make it less noticeable by changing the eq setting. Goes away as soon as I hit pause on the unit. I do not hear it on other sources. maybe it has to do with the sound enhancer. I toggled it off and the noise got slightly louder. But at level 2 I can still hear it.
  3. Ok thanks for the advice. I have an iPhone. Too bad they don't make an iOS version but I'm sure thats due to the input/output ability of iOS through the lightening connector. I can assign a dual function through using the blinking LED method outlined in the instructions, I'm just not sure if its the PTT action that activates Siri on a car that has that button.
  4. I saw a post on here where someone successfully reprogrammed their ASWC-1 to activate Siri even though they didn't have a PTT button. I have a volume up, volume down, channel up, channel down, and a mode button. I'd like a long press on the mode button to activate Siri. Anyone know how? I read the Axxess directions and its not clear if this is possible. Like a short press on Mode does one thing and a long press does another. I'd like to keep the functionality of the mode button but just add the long press to activate Siri.
  5. I wanted to report that the new bypass i got from diybypass.com does work with the 4100. Not sure if the guy will update his website to show that he has one to support the timing of the 4100 but if you order one from him I would make sure and specify.
  6. I bought one from diybypass.com that did not work on my 4100. I contacted the seller and he said the timing changed between the 4000 and 4100 so he tweaked the circuit and sent a replacement to me in the mail. Will install it this weekend and let you know.
