  1. I did both the Pioneer mic and a Denon Audyssey mic. The Denon mic was so much better. The Pioneer totally killed the mid bass and left a high frequency in my upper range that gave me a headache. I couldn't EQ it out without affecting frequencies I didn't want to.
  2. I just needed to be in the NAV Map display in order to pair it. I didn't have to shut off the CarPlay functions in the settings. Not sure why you had to. Note that I did have the "iGo" banner blocking part of the sync button on the iPhone app. It is to the right of the banner.
  3. Recently tried out the mic intended for my Denon Audyssey calibration with my NEX-8100. I put it facing forward hanging slightly off the top of the drivers seat. It did much better than the Pioneer mic. Mids are no longer tuned out like before when using a flat EQ setting. It resembles a lot closer to my previously manually adjusted tune, but seems to have tuned the frequencies I was struggling with in between some bands from before.
  4. Prior to the battery swap, I had disconnected my battery multiple times while tweaking/moving my amplifier and wiring. Also using the reset on the unit itself, etc to no effect. I can confirm it starts up every time now since I've put in the new battery. It is an almost 3 year (440CCA?) vs brand new (850CCA) battery though, heh. Though I had seen startup hesitations/long cranks intermittently in the past. As for better gas mileage, the ECU does get reset if you leave the battery disconnected long enough.
  5. I may have good news as mine may be fixed. Did a battery swap last night. This morning the car and the radio started right up. The car seemed to turn over much quicker and I think this may be what is causing the sensing delays of the radio. I've only started it twice today, but the overnight start is very good sign in my opinion. FYI: I used a Diehard Platinum Group 35 battery. This is a re-badged Odyssey battery for the internationals. Edit: 4 times now and the radio has started up immediately every time.
  6. Yes, I have a push button start and proximity keys. I was also curious about the battery itself maybe not being quite up to snuff as well and considered swapping it.
  7. I'm seeing the same thing with my Subaru BRZ (manual transmission) and my NEX8100. Both with stock amp/speakers and the custom amp/speakers I installed. Only seems to happen with engine start and pretty much works every time when you put the car in ACC mode (I have a push button start). My current workaround is kick ACC on and then immediately start the engine and it boots right up. Otherwise, if you let it sit it does eventually boot up. Thought it was the harness connections at first. Though I have tried both the harness I assembled and pre-assembled harnesses from Enfig that are
