Had to replace my battery on my truck now stereo is asking for password that i forgot. Ive tried to put the testmode file on a sd card but once i put it in the stereo nothing comes up just the screen where its asking for password... im I doing something wrong?

i have downloaded the test mode file and put it on a sd card but once i put it on the stereo nothing comes up.... can someone help me? how long do i have to wait till something pops up on my stereo i have the avic x850bt
