The note 5 still has the HDMI output so don't forget to grab that samsung cable to take advantage of it. I actually ran HDMI Output to the front of my lighterport. It worked great before I upgraded and realized no more HDMI support.

There are 2 USB ports in the back, make sure you plugged into the correct port and your not in the IPhone one.

Mirror link works, but you need to find apps that support mirror link. Its junk. Andriod auto fixes this. The HDMI cable allows you to truly "mirror" your phone. Mirror link is a not what it sounds like.

I have no problem with this in my unit I just had installed, but I will mention sometimes I have to remove the face unit and reseat it and before it will recognize the change.
