I really don't think its the hard drive. Whenever I have the problem with it freezing at the loading screen my library which is stored on the hard drive will still play. The shop who installed mine did not do the best job. I'm planning on redoing all of the connectors they installed by soldering them and wrapping them in electrical tape. I also will do the same with the Valentine 1 I installed. I do know that my V1 install is a little shoddy. I used vampire connectors and one of them is a little loose. You can jiggle the wire and the detector will turn on and off. If that doesn't work

Your AVIC-Z1's voice commands work with the Bluetooth module installed? After I installed mine my voice nav button disappeared. I thought it was just because they didn't want it to conflict.

I've got the same thing. It sticks at the Pioneer loading screen. The only buttons that work are volume and tilt. I don't think its heat related. Today it was only 58 degrees F when it happened and it was parked in a garage.

Three problems here. 1. The microphone does not work. I've verified that it is plugged into the right jack on the back of the unit and is snug. If I plug it into my cell phone it works. Interestingly enough if I plug a hands free kit into the back of the Z1, the mic on that works. No explanation for that. Maybe is has a pinch in the cable and works sometimes depending on how the cable is bent. 2. My radio signal sucks. I assume this is because they didn't connect the blue wire from the Z1 into the antenna power booster (antenna is embedded in rear window)? Where is this wi
