  1. You will need the proper adapter to make this a plug and play. I have the Pac radio Pro 5 but I also have the Bose system. Check out crutchfield.com their site will show you what you need. Afterwards just go into the menu screen and set illumination on auto, will then sync with headlights.
  2. Well answer my own topic. Seems my deck doesn't like scan disk brand. Bought new ,formatted to fat32 , updated np.
  3. Just installed my 3800 last week and noticed an update was released at the end of Jan. Tried to update per instructions , no luck , deck says its unreadable. The update is for models above and below it. Anyone else have any luck?
  4. I'm also in Canada . I recently purchased the 4100 for about 625 plus the usual Eco, HST,. I have friends who have the 260 add on and have no issues with it. I also considered the 5100-8100. All things considered when I factored in the additional cost of updating the maps each year I could buy a new garmin each year for less!! Besides I have an android ( google maps). Also check out Amazon.com , yes the U.S. site. They sent me info today saying the 4100 could be had for 499 u.s. Plus about 48 for shipping. Even converted it's less than here. I purchased mine from "Gibbyselectronicsupermarket.c
