Okay, in case anyone references this thread at a later date I THINK I may have made some progress with this. I have a 256Gb NTFS formated flash drive connected to USB 1 and it appears that the boot sequence may be being interupted by the HU performing a read on this drive mid boot. Removed the drive this morning and the boot sequence completed as normal, then replaced it and everything performed as expected. I'll do some more testing to confirm before stating this is 100% the cause.

Hi All, Had my F88 for almost a year now and it's been working pretty well, just bought a new car and had it installed. All was well for a few days, then it started having problems on boot. Intermittently it will start up, show the splash screen and pioneer loading screen and then just a black screen. I've read on threads about other models that this might be due to the unit being bypassed, but found nothing specific on the 88s. Anyone else had this issue?

First of all, massive thanks to the devs for pulling this together, looks like a great piece of work from the thread. I'm new here as only just got my AVIC F88DAB yesterday but as a pretty active Android modder XDA member, this is exctly what I'm looking for. Can't seem to hit the site just now though, anyone else experiencing issues just so I can eliminate local problem? (not looking likely mind as I can browse freely both on and off proxy but can't get to casual-dev) Cheers

Not familiar with the process just yet for grabbing the images (only had the HU a couple of days) but I'm and IT consultant and pretty experienced Android modder so sure I'll get up to speed pretty quickly.
