  1. I'm not having the issue with the clock, but I was having the same issue with the street names with the 3D text. I figured out pretty quickly that the issue was that I had to be zoomed into 500ft or closer for the street names to show in 3D mode, but this issue did not exists on my unit prior to performing the 3.0 upgrade. When my F90BT had the 2.06 firmware I was able to see street names in 3D mode at scales above 500ft. I think Pioneer screwed things up a bit with 3.0 in regards to the 3D street name text... that is unless there is a way to get street names to show at scales above 500f
  2. Thanks for the link to the 3.0 version of ezrider !!! I really appreciate it. (FYI.. if anyone is following this thread and is also looking for the ezrider for 3.0 use the link below. It's just a copy of the link that ill.die.trying pointed me to) http://rapidshare.de/files/48133221/ezrider.rar.html To answer your question.. I'm in the US. California to be exact. You mentioned that the 3dc files can sometimes be found with maps. so I started poking around and found a link here http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=29258 This link has a link to the 2009.6 TeleAtlas maps
  3. Thanks for the info, that helps a bit but I'm afraid I'm still quite lost. Prior to posting this question in the first post I did read about the 3dl and 3dc files, but couldnt' find a source for the 3dc files. It looks like the stock 3.0 build has many 3dl files already but no 3dc files. I did a search for 3dc and spent about 30 minutes checking each posting returned by the search but ended up without finding a link to download the files. I was going to continue searching but realized I had no clue what to do with the files, or what other things I needed to do to have the files recognize
  4. I just am running a F90bt and have upgraded to the X910 3.01 firmware version with 3.0 winCE, and am wondering how to get 3d buildings to show on my unit. I have been searching and reading threads for over 3 hours and have not been able to piece together all the info. Can anyone point out the info or thread that has all the necessary info to show 3d buildings with 3.0? Thanks
  5. Yep... I believe if you have 2.006 installed on a US model you can update directly to 3.0 using the info on the link I provided in my earlier post. My understanding is that the only prerequisite to preforming the 3.0 update is the ability to fire up your unit in Testmode. If you can do that, then you can update your unit to 3.0 regardless of what your prior version was. The 3.0 update pretty much starts your unit over with a fresh, updated version of everything (including the operating system... windows CE). After you do the 3.0 upgrade you then visit Pioneers x910BT web page and downloa
  6. Bummer.. the link to download the newez4avic.zip file no longer works. Anyone know of a different source for this file? (Edit).. The link is back up.. hooray!! Although that link is up.. it looks like the password for unzipping the .rar files is hit and miss. I tried to unzip the "83_Cont_USA_2009.06_TA.part01.rar" file and it errors out half way through the uznip. The password is initially accepted (and yes.. I typed it in all caps), and the date uncompresses but after about 10 seconds when the unzip is almost done I get an error that says. "CRC field in encrypted file '83_Cont_USA_2
  7. To get your unit updated to the latest firmware.. you'll need to update from 2.01 to 3.0 (it's actually 3.004 or something like that...), then you can update to 3.0101. My understanding is that the same update works for the f700bt, the f900bt and f90bt. The entire process pretty much changes your f700bt into an x910bt (without the dvd playing ability of course). The 2.1 to 3.0 update files can be found on this forum. (see info below). You have to do some manual file copying onto your unit to do this. The 3.0 to 3.010 update files can be found on the "updates" link directly on the pione
  8. Tried 3 different SD memory cards (1 gig, 2 gig, 8 gig) and I get the same type of error each time. unable to copy file "XXXXXX' - unable to read from source file or disk. The name of file XXXXX changes every time I try a different card. I know I'm not alone with this error because I have come across others who have posted this same issue... but nobody seems to respond when the issue is posted.
  9. I'm about to upgrade to 3.0 but want to backup "MyFlashdrive" before doing so. My unit currently has firmware 2.0 so I tried booting up with the version of Testmode for 2.0 (no issues there at all) but I when I copy the contents of "Myflashdrive" to my SD card files start copying for about a minute and then I get an error that says something very similar to: unable to copy file "r" - Unable to read source file or disk. Any ideas? I'm using a SanDisk 8gb SDHC card and have reformatted it twice (fat32 quick format and normal forat) renamed it a couple times (names with no spaces) but n
  10. I'm ready to pull the trigger on this 3.0 update but have a couple questions: 1 - What is the correct method to create a complete backup of your current unit before doing this (just in case). I'm planning on backing up the "My Flash Disck" folder from my unit but what else should I back up to make sure I can revert back to my units current state (which is 2.0) if I encounter issues? 2 - If this install fails and I need to revert back to firmware 2.0, how do I return back to my old version of CE? The 3.0 update installs a new version of CE using WINCEIMG.BIN AND WINCEIMG.CKS but I want
  11. Your joking right? I left the torrent running for 36 hours and had zero data downloaded. Did you use the torrent mentioned on page one of this post or did you use a different one? EDIT: OK.. turns out I'm a douchebag... the torrent wont work if you use Vuze (which is what I was using) but the torrent appears to be working in the regular Bittorent software (http://www.bittorent.com).
  12. Brisk... where did you get the X910bt.zip file? The torrent mentioned on this thread is dead and I can't seem to find a source for it.
  13. Like D-Boy said... the torrent just ain't happenin anymore so getting the X910bt.zip file might be a challenge. It looks like the file may be available from a link in another post on a different thread. I grabbed what may be the correct file, but need a bit of help understanding the contents of what should be in the x910bt.zip file that used to be avaialble. What were the contents of the x910bt.zip file when it was available? Was it just a data.zip file for the x910bt? If the answer to the above question is yes, is there a way to look at the contents of one or more files in da
  14. Attention users of the Samsung Eternity A867 phone who are having bluetooth audio issues with their Avic f700, f900 or f90BT..... I was using my samsung eternity phone with my avic f90bt and every time I would speak with someone they would tell me my audio sounded absolutely horrible. I tried moving the microphone all over the vehicle and it didn't help at all. It got to the point where people were refusing to talk to me on my bluetooth because they had to strain so much to figure out what I was saying. If you are having similar issues with your samsung eternity, check to see which ve
  15. A few weeks ago my voice command function stopped working completely on my F90BT. When I push the multi control button (large knob) the prompt that used to appear (the prompt that waited for your voice command) no longer appears. When I push the button all I hear is a "ding" and nothing happens. This is the ase no matter which mode I am in (IE.. ipod, sirius, FM, AM, Map etc). I didnt' change any settings and have not touched the unit at all. Anyone know why the voice prompt might be turned off, or why it no longer functions?
